Rachel Stambach holds degrees in cello performance from the State University of New York at Purchase and Duquesne University, where she was awarded a full assistantship. Her cello teachers include Jennifer Langham, Diane Chaplin (Cellist, Colorado Quartet), Stephen Geber (Principal Cellist, Cleveland Orchestra), Richard Weiss (Cleveland Orchestra) and Anne Martindale-Williams (Principal Cellist, Pittsburgh Symphony).

Currently serving as Principal Cellist with the York Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Stambach teaches cello at York College and is a member of the York College Chamber Players. She is a founding member of the Melodia String Quartet and a former member of the Canton Symphony String Quartet and the York College Piano Trio. In addition, Ms. Stambach has been a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic and the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra and has served as Principal Cellist of the Canton (OH) and Wheeling (WV) Symphony Orchestras. 

As a freelance musician in the south central Pennsylvania region, Ms. Stambach has worked with Luciano Pavarotti, Kenny Rogers, Pat Boone, and Mannheim Steamroller.
